The face to face workshops gives you valuable time with your mentor to learn deeply what you need to succeed as a Pilates instructor.

Hands on practice is key to becoming a Pilates instructor and the weekend workshop are an immersion into your learning journey.

Students are encouraged to attend all in person workshops. They are held over 4 weekends and dates are set prior to the course. 

We understand that life can be busy and we allow students to miss one weekend with notice. 

Students who miss a weekend may wish to catch up on the next program or organise a private mentoring session.

Each students needs are individually assessed to ensure success so we recommend you speak to your mentor if you know that you can not make one of the face to face workshops.

The Reformer Instructors Certification is a 6 month program consisting of online and in person learning.

As per National Training Standards for Pilates Instructors, the course is 200 hours long and follows very strict course competency guidelines.

The face to face workshops are completed within the 6 month period and students have access to the online class room for 2 years so that you can revisit lessons & gain a deeper understanding of the work.

Most students will complete the hours within 6 months but you have 12 months to get everything signed off.

Everything you need to learn is available in class format online. 

Each exercise is individually filmed and discussed, workshops are presented and quizzes will keep you moving forwards. 

While the online component is absolutely amazing and we recognise the importance and convenience of online learning, Pilates is a person to person experience and we want to see you face to face so that you can really hone your skills as an instructor before you set off to teach.

The Pilates Association of Australia (PAA). is an independent and not-for-profit organisation established by the Pilates industry as an advisory body for regulation of quality instruction, member support and integrity within all legitimate approaches to the Pilates Method.

The PAA believes in an open approach to regulation and strives to ensure protection of the general public, industry employees and studios, whilst continuing to foster the original intentions of the Pilates Method.

Schools who are endorsed by the PAA follow strict regulatory guidelines and are monitored by the PAA to ensure quality training is provided at an exceptional standard that sets the bar for Pilates in Australia. 

Students are assessed for competence along the way by your mentor. This way we help you gain confidence and get you ready for success from day one. 

There is also a final exam process that is in line with requirements of The Pilates Association of Australia but don't worry, we get you well prepared so that you are ready to teach with confidence.

As a recognised school with The Pilates Association of Australia, students must complete a certain number of hours of observation, self practice and practice teaching .

A log book is included in your Virtual Classroom for you to download and keep a log of your hours for self evaluation. 

We recommend allowing approximately 5 hours of study per week to comfortably get through the course within 6 months. 

The face to face weekend workshops also go towards your practice hours to make up the 200 hour certificate.
