Meet your Host
I’ve been teaching Pilates Pro Academy programming for over a year now and it has totally changed the way I look at the body, and improved my Pilates teaching out of sight which is why I have joined the team at Pilates Pro Academy as a host teacher. I moved from Darwin to Perth, having spent a year at our HQ and am stoked to be sharing PPA training in Perth.
Â
I chose Pilates as I wanted to step away from the conventional gym as my body was not recovering from multiple heavy lifting sessions per week. Now only practising Pilates I am honestly the strongest I have ever been, much stronger after stepping away from a gym setting.
Â
What I love most about Pilates is how connected you become with your body. You start to tune into every part of your body through each and every movement, which truly feels amazing. It’s helped me in so many ways, the main way Pilates has improved my life is I no longer experience horrific pelvic pain, which I would experience daily when training at the gym which would then effect my everyday life.Â
Â
What I want to share with students is if you truly believe you can become a great Pilates teacher - you will. We all start somewhere & what gets us from a to b is patience, knowledge & practicing often. I’ve been in the position you’re in now, it’s daunting and you’ll feel like you’ll never reach the end, but you just have to jump in and give it your all, it all pays off. I’m now a studio manager at a studio and love going to work everyday.
