Attention Pilates Studio Owners: Stay Connected with Your Clients Through Blogging!

Are you ready to make a lasting impact on your clients?

Blogging for your pilates studio is the key to creating strong connections, sharing essential wellness information, and sparking inspiration like never before.

No doubt, many studio owners understand the importance of email marketing but have you considered that sending emails is way more powerful when you are adding value to your clients lives? The thing is, email marketing can be salesy - 'buy this, book here, click now' is off putting. Nobody wants to be sold to every day over email. People are busy, their inboxes are full of junk and you want to stay on the radar, not be thrown in the unsubscribe fire.

On the other hand, in this digital World, 95% of people are looking at their emails every single day so it only makes sense to be consistently sending messages to your clients via email marketing.

So, how can you connect with your community in a way that keeps you at front of mind and adds value to their busy schedule? Blogging!

Through blog posts, you can unleash your creativity and show clients why they should keep coming back without even mentioning it.

And the best part? Blogging also boosts organic traffic from search engines like Google!

Tell a story

Share stories of transformation, discuss the challenges of owning a business, and even feature inspiring interviews with health-focused individuals. The reality is, your clients are looking to you as an expert. You may not know everything but chances are you know a lot about a few topics that are relevant to your clients journey. Maybe you have some feel good stories about customers you have worked with? Maybe your own story is elevating and inspiring? Have you shared the stories of your fellow instructors? Story telling is powerful and sharing your own and other peoples instructors journeys can help connect you with your clients outside of your instructor persona.

Product research

Do you sell products? Thera bands, magic circles, massage balls, foam rollers? Rather than just tell your clients that they should buy a product inside a newsletter, you could write an article about something that is related to the product that will move them towards a sale without being salesy. In my bricks and mortar business I sell supplements so I wrote this article on protein. Rather than tell my clients that we are stocking the protein in studio, I take time to educate them on the different types of protein so that they can make an informed decision as to whether or not they should would benefit from protein supplements. I outline various types of protein and the pros and cons. The difference between selling products in a salesy newsletter and offering an educational blog that helps your client can elevate your status in your community simply by offering value.

Pay it forwards

As your library of blogs grows you can point articles to each other. For example, one of my passions is sharing recipes. You will see in my chia pudding recipe it directs readers to my bricks and mortar store to purchase the ingredients (or I often recommend my local organic store to help support them) PLUS I point readers to other recipes that might interest them.

Paying it forwards can move your readers in the direction of a sale with you, promote a friend or colleagues local business or support a charity you engage with. The deal with paying it forwards or having external and internal links in your blogs is that it gives you search engine optimisation. Google likes it when you promote people to stay online - plus you are adding more value for your readers eyes by doing the searching for them and pointing them to places that have similar information.

Writing blog posts with topics of interest to your clients is more than just playing with words; it’s about cultivating trust and respect for your business. When people feel connected to a product or service, they’ll want to invest their time, money, and loyalty into that brand. What better way than writing articles that offer helpful insights? It can open up conversations on important topics while also building your presence on the web.

Furthermore, when customers see how knowledgeable and reliable you are, they will be more likely to utilise your products and services. In the end, writing blog posts is beneficial for both readers and businesses; readers get answers to questions while businesses gain credibility each post at a time!

I’ve shared what works for me in hopes of helping someone else make an impact online. If you find value in this information I want to hear from you.

What else can help you build authority and trustworthiness? Whether or not you decide to give blogging a try, I'm eager to hear your thoughts on how these strategies have worked (or haven't worked) for you so far.
